Roma Hands and Heart

Ministering to the Roma in Jesus' Name

The primary purpose of our mission is to bring the Light of the Lord Jesus Christ to the Roma in northwestern Romania. We are intent upon reaching out to the them with compassion and the love of Jesus, giving them the respect and dignity that they deserve and ministering to their needs, for they are precious in the sight of the Lord.
According to the publication Operation World, The Definitive Prayer Guide To All Nations, the Roma are the most spiritually responsive ethnicity in Romania to the Gospel. We are finding that there are vast opportunities to minister to these people who have been despised and persecuted for 1,000 years. God can make a difference in their lives, but we must also realize that the window for reaching them with the Truth could close at any time!

Ministry Needs

The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous person avails much. (James 5:16)
Please pray for the Roma
Please take time out of your busy schedule to pray earnestly for our mission and the Roma – that many of them will be “rescued from the power of the darkness of this world and transformed into the Kingdom of God′s dear Son.” Please pray for the Roma and consider a financial gift to this ministry.

Statement of Faith

  1. We believe that the Bible (66 books – Old Testament and New Testament) is the very Word of God. We believe that Scripture is verbally inspired without error in the original writings, and sufficient for all aspects of faith and life.
  2. We believe in the Triune God existing in three persons, the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.
  3. We believe that Christ was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, and that Jesus had a divine and human nature; fully divine and fully man. He was the vicarious sacrifice, on the cross, for the sins of the world and arose from the dead on the third day. He is now the High Priest in Heaven, as our advocate and intercessor.
  4. We believe that the Holy Spirit as the third person of the Trinity convicts of sin, regenerates, indwells, enlightens, empowers, baptizes, guides, teaches, and brings about the image of God in the children of God through Jesus Christ.
  5. We believe that mankind was created in the image of God. God instituted the family as the first covenant relationship between one man and one woman. They succumbed to the temptation of Satan in the Garden of Eden and physical and spiritual death was the result. We are born with a sin nature as a result of the sin of Eve and Adam.
  6. We believe in salvation by grace through faith in the work of Jesus Christ. Salvation is fully through the grace of God and not by our efforts or good works.
  7. We believe in the bodily resurrection of the just and unjust – the just to Heaven and the unjust to Hell.
  8. We believe that the church will be raptured and that Christ will return to earth to establish His Kingdom.
  9. We believe in baptism by immersion in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Immersion symbolizes the death, burial, and resurrection of Christ and the believer.
  10. We believe that the Lord′s supper is a memorial service for all believers as a reminder of the price Christ paid in his body and blood. Communion is an opportunity for self-examination, meditation and commitment.
  11. We believe the Church consists of all who have received new life in Christ, and have their names written in the Lamb′s Book of Life.
  12. We believe that the local New Testament Church is made up of baptized believers united for worship, edification, evangelism and mutual fellowship.
